Summary of Services

My law practice exclusively serves microbusiness, i.e., enterprises with one to nine employees, and persons involved in microlitigation, i.e., lawsuits with an amount in controversy less than $100,000.

Microlitigation

Unfortunately, legal arguments and commercial disputes are part of the price of doing business today. When a dispute cannot be mediated, litigation is often the only means of protecting your business interests.

I represent persons involved in business disputes and lawsuits with an amount in controversy, or value, of $100,000 or less. My fee for microlitigation is based on the facts of the case and will be calculated as a percentage of the amount in controversy.

The price for my services through trial will be given to you before my representation begins. My fixed price for microlitigation ranges between 10% and 40% of the total value of the case.

If you do not know the amount in controversy of your dispute or lawsuit, I will help you determine it.

360 Business Review &
Legal Risk Management

Business in the 21st century develops rapidly and regulations are widespread and far-reaching. Fortunately, solid forecasting, planning and research can help you fix problems before they arise. Whether your microbusiness is a sole-proprietorship, partnership, corporation or LLC, there are several legal issues affecting your commercial activity.

Assessment of legal threats and business liabilities is important to the growth and sustainability of your microventure.

The 360 Business Review is a one-hour strategy session to discuss the current and future legal issues facing your business. The review is a conversation about your business goals and the opportunities and obstacles you may have on the way to achieving them.

At the end our visit, I will make recommendations to you on how to proceed.

The price for a 360 Review is $225. But if you engage me under my Legal Innovation Through Entrepreneurship (LITE) plan, this cost is credited to the expense of the plan once you sign a LITE Agreement.

LITE Plans

Legal Innovation Through Entrepreneurship (LITE) service plans are designed to deliver legal counsel to a microbusiness with a project-based approach focused on the issues valued by the client.

GreenLITE

Designed for new micropreneurs to help them identify what legal matters they need to address in starting their microbusiness. This can include business formation (S-corporation vs. LLC?), contracts and trademark & service mark protection. Give yourself the "green light" to get your microbusiness up and running.

MoonLITE

An annual plan for microbusinesses who are building their enterprises while attending school or working full-time somewhere else. This is also the right level of service for part-time businesses, hobbypreneurs, extra-income businesses, mompreneurs, and retiree-run micros. This service is intended for clients whose microbusiness is important to them but their attention is primarily on another aspect of their life. Help protect yourself while "moonlighting."

StarLITE

My only prepriced service plan that creates an opportunity to build the foundation for a strategic attorney-client relationship.

This annual plan is priced at $225/month and begins with a 360 Business Review during which we create an outline for the business and legal issues to be addressed in the following year.

Included in this plan is unlimited lawyer access. This means that there are no limits, nor any charges, for attorney-client conferences. With unlimited access you will not be charged any additional fee to use the telephone or your e-mail account to ask a question or talk through an issue with your lawyer.

StarLITE also includes two attorney-client projects during the year, usually resulting in the preparation or review of documents you will use in the ordinary course of business .

The legal counsel covered by this fixed-fee covers first-person advice or counsel to you and your representatives. Based on my experience, communication with other parties on your behalf is more complex and third-person representation will be priced separately as needed, e.g., talking with your vendors or customers.

SunLITE

An annual plan designed for active microbusinesess with several employees who need unlimited lawyer access as well as several additional attorney-client projects throughout the year.

FlashLITE

A LITE plan that addresses those instances where a single legal project is all that a client reasonably requires. FlashLITE services are limited to projects that will take less than 100 days to complete and include unlimited lawyer access.
